Having both been Primary School teachers in Leeds for over 15 years and having a young family, we decided to take a change of direction in life. We've had great fun making celebration cakes for several years for family and friends, so we thought we might be able to make a living from this enjoyable hobby. We knocked down our garage and we constructed a purpose-built catering kitchen in its place to launch A Slice of Home Ltd.

In September 2017, having left teaching full-time we officially opened A Slice of Home for business. Since then, we have been busy making a range of different flavoured brownies and posting them all over the UK, creating celebration cakes for all occasions,  and we have been attending a selection of farmer's markets and food festivals around t Leeds, West & North Yorkshire areas.
